C -- Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Construction Period Services related to the Design of the VA Canandaigua project SOL W912QR20VACANANDAIGUACPS DUE 112119Michael D. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to limit sources to theAE firm SWBR and SmithGroup, PLLC Architects and Engineers in Joint Venture forConstruction Period Services (CPS) for Canandaigua VA CARES project to be completed at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY. SWBR and SmithGroup, PLLC Architects and Engineers in Joint Venture firm designed this project, and therefore have the highest level of familiarity with the design. The initial design contract was awarded to SWBR and TRO Jung / Brennen Architects and Engineers in Joint Venture and during the performance of the contract TRO Jung / Brennen Architectsand Engineers was acquired by The SmithGroup. The project delivery team will require CPS, such as responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, updating drawings,and similar requirements. Using the services of SWBR and SmithGroup, PLLC Architects and Engineers in Joint Venture for CPS is the most logical and cost-effective course of action because of their knowledge of the design. This procurement is intended as a firm fixed price contract for A/E Services for a five year period. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statement, proposal orquotation must be submitted no later than 10:00AM Eastern Time on 21 Nov 2019 to Michael.D.Hutchens@usace.army.mil.
