The Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (Acquisition & Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S)) in the Department of Defense is seeking information, from non-profit organizations, related to establishment of an Accreditation Body for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program. The CMMC program will serve as a verification mechanism to ensure appropriate levels of cybersecurity controls and processes are adequate and in place to protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) that resides on the Department's industry partners' networks.
