The Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program is considering a purchase of a Mini Tin Cell. The item being sought is a mini tin freeze point fixed point cell. It shall be able to accommodate probes as short as 6 inches in length. It will provide the respective reference temperature to allow for the highest accuracy calibration possible at the AFPSL for PRTs that cannot fit the full size cells. The mini cell will enable the AFPSL to calculate calibration coefficients to ITS 90 specifications and thus increase the accuracy of the calibrations for these shorter probes.
